Real palms die in a Tennessee winter, and everything that reads “vacation” about a backyard resort dies with them. Today’s commercial-grade artificial palms solve it: steel-cored trunks wrapped in real palm bark texture, UV-stable fronds rated for years of full sun, set in concrete footings that shrug off wind.

We design them into the pool from the start: planted islands ringed in stone and mulch, layered with hardy tropical-look plantings that actually survive here, placed where the fronds throw shade on the water and show up in every reflection.

The Vacation Look, Every Month of the Year

Pair the grove with a heated pool and an automatic cover, and the backyard reads “resort” in February: palms over blue water while the neighbors rake leaves.
