Backyard Resort Pools builds swim-up bars into custom gunite pools across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. I am Ernie Nagy, the Pool Kahuna, and this is the feature that turns a backyard pool into the place people actually want to host.

A Bar Built Into the Pool, Not Floated on Top of It

A swim-up bar starts with a shallow shelf poured directly into the gunite shell, deep enough to sit comfortably in the water and shallow enough that the submerged stools stay put. It is structural, part of the pool itself, not furniture that drifts to the far end by the second party.

Above the waterline, a stone or granite bar top ties into an outdoor kitchen, a bar structure, or a stand-alone counter, wired and plumbed for a fridge, ice maker, or blender so whoever is behind the bar can actually run one.

The Feature That Gets Used Every Single Party

Nobody has to towel off, walk across hot pavers, and come back sticky. The whole point is that they never have to leave the water.
