ICF POOLS NASHVILLE TN:
INSULATED CONCRETE FORM POOL BUILDER

Warmer Water.
Longer Season.
Smarter Concrete.

A concrete pool wrapped in continuous insulation, at a friendlier price than gunite.

Backyard Resort Pools builds ICF pools across Nashville and Middle Tennessee: reinforced concrete poured inside insulated forms that stay in place for the life of the pool. I am Ernie Nagy, the Pool Kahuna, and no other local company offers this construction.

What an ICF Pool Actually Is

ICF stands for insulated concrete forms: interlocking foam blocks that stack like oversized bricks, get filled with rebar and concrete, and then stay in place forever as continuous insulation around the shell. The same system used in high-efficiency homes, put to work holding water.

The result is a true reinforced-concrete pool, as strong as anything we build, wrapped in a thermal blanket the ground can never pull heat through. Tennessee clay and freeze-thaw never touch the structure.

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE IT

Concrete Strength, Sensible Price

ICF trades exotic curves for efficiency, and the savings show up three ways.

Rectangles Cost Less to Build

ICF pools are built in clean rectangles and straight-walled shapes. Simpler geometry means faster stacking, less form work, and a concrete pool that lands well under a sculpted gunite bid.

Insulation That Pays You Back

Continuous foam on every wall means the ground stops stealing your heat. The water warms faster, holds its temperature overnight, and the heater runs a fraction of the hours it would on a bare concrete shell.

Made for Automatic Covers

Straight, parallel walls are exactly what an automatic safety cover wants. Push a button and the pool is sealed: safe for kids, clean of leaves, and holding its warmth for tomorrow’s swim.

THE SEASON

Swim Ten Months of the Year

Pair the insulated shell with a heater and an automatic cover, and a Nashville ICF pool swims from late February into December: up to ten months of the year, for heating bills an uninsulated concrete pool cannot touch.

An unheated pool here gives you four good months. The insulation holds what the heater buys, and the cover keeps it overnight: that is the whole trick, and only ICF does all three at once.

How an ICF Pool Goes In

Same supervised crews, same fifty-year standard, different forms.

1

Dig and gravel base.

We excavate, scope the rock before the bid as always, and set a clean compacted gravel floor with drainage designed for Tennessee clay.

2

Stack, reinforce, pour.

The foam forms stack and lock, rebar ties every course together, and concrete fills the cavity into one continuous reinforced structure with its bond beam on top.

3

Finish and fill.

Plumbing is pressure-tested, the interior gets its finish, the deck and equipment go in, and we stay through the first fill with the heater and cover dialed in.

STRAIGHT NUMBERS

Concrete Value, Without the Gunite Price

An ICF pool lands between our vinyl builds and a sculpted gunite resort: true reinforced concrete at a rectangle’s price, and the operating savings compound every season you heat it. Your quote is itemized before you sign, and financing is available.
